Seems to be early for promotions, no?

I dunno, mid-May seems like the time they push players up who they placed conservatively out of Spring Training.
Seeing Chris's tweets made me realize that there are seemingly more players this year than in the past who fall into that category. He mentioned Beeks, Maddox, Callahan, Anderson, Shawaryn, and Nogosek. Could easily include Buttrey with that group as well.
Could easily see another Greenville-to-Salem move when Elias goes back up (presumably to Pawtucket) from his rehab, unless they're going to give Gonzalez a longer look as a starter.

Seems to be early for promotions, no? Lakins and Gonzalez were both returning to levels they started last year at, and Hart probably should've made the Drive out of ST, so not really. As far as other moves, they've tended to do a set of promotions after the all-star break. I presume we'll see Anderson, Shawaryn, Nogosek go up to Salem at that time. Could see Boyd move up too. Salem's pitching staff could get a big midseason makeover (question would be if enough guys are left for Greenville, but you could see some combination of Groome, Darwinzon Hernandez, Sexton, Smith, Hart, Enmanuel De Jesus and Jorge Hernandez that would work).

Callahan up to Pawtucket per Speier. He deserves it.

If we're talking about the All-Star break, they could draft a couple college arms to slot into those Greenville innings.

They've rarely pushed draftees to Greenville though, and even more rarely done it with pitchers. I can't even remember the last time they did that with a starter, actually. At any rate, my point is that they do have enough guys in the system currently, presuming there's nothing wrong with De Jesus.
