Can we get those relievers healthy so we can trade Hembree and a lottery ticket for a platoon 3B?

That Hanley Ramirez last AB was pathetic even by his standards.

Ive had more fun watching Golf than watching this team play. Meanwhile the Dodgers and the Marlins are brawling on the field!

And Hembree leaves a nothing 2-0 pitch over the middle of the plate. He's bad. 52runs allowed in 107 IP for the Red Sox.

They need to play small ball when Sale is pitching especially the way this team cant score runs. They had guys getting lead off doubles and couldnt get a run swinging away when all they need to do is get one in those situations.

This team doesn't have the feel of a team that's really going anywhere. At some point I think they'll play better, although if Price doesn't come back remotely healthy they might be fortunate to squeak over .500.
Either way this team isn't winning 93 games again. It's win 1 lose 1, win 2 lose 2, and their runs score/runs allowed indicate a .500ish team as well so their results are in line with their performance. Their offense is so terribly mediocre. It kind of negates the strengths of the team, namely Sale, Porcello, and Kimbrel.

Didn't Pedro had 10 straight 10ks? I was fairly certain that he did, but I heard on two different stations that the record was 8. I heard the same thing when he did it two years ago, and Pedro said he was hoping Sale would break his record but he only tied it.

A couple more weeks of anemic play and the Red Sox could be sellers at the deadline. Perhaps guys like Young, Holt, and Leon might fetch some potential lottery ticket prospects to help focus on the future. This is one of the worst hitting Red Sox teams in recent memories and it may sense to "blow it up" and start over. The lack of prospect depth is going to make the process slow and painful.

I just don't see this happening. The Sox are pretty much going for it. That is what the Sale trade indicated. Dave Dombrowski pretty much said as much in the press conference when the Sale trade was finalised.
