I'd just like to give credit where credit's due with the thread title. They're always good, continuing a long tradition. Thanks!

Just wondering.

A much better start this time around for Anderson.

Is Blake Swihart close to returning? Just wondering. The PawSox were treating the injury carefully so Swihart didn't have a reoccurrence. I read that they were going to try and change the way that he received pitches to limit the amount of stress he was taking on his fingers.

Yeah but how long does the change really take and how long is the injury going to keep him back? The Sox need Swihart to develop as a catcher and he isn't seeing games, that is kind of a problem.

Second game in a row with no Chatham after being pulled early following a caught stealing. What's more likely: reinjury or just slowly bringing him back?

Swihart is always hurt and I would agree his development is at risk from how little he's played or spent time behind the plate. Couple that with his weird mechanics hitting from the left side, and I don't have a good feeling about him. Can't imagine he has too much trade value so hopefully we get him healthy and get him right.

How long does it take to literally teach him a different way of catching the ball? That's pretty significant, no?

Our starting pitching gave us three nice outings today.

This is the kind of outing we all hoped to get from Henry Owens on a more consistent basis.

Since his injuries have kept him out for long periods, it may create the impression that he is injury prone. It seems as though we have been waiting for him, the rare offensive/defensive catcher, forever. The calendar shows him at 25...tick, tick, tick.

I should have said that he's simply missed a lot of time moreso than having been injured a large number of times.

Still, a bit of an improvement. Too many base-runners, yes, but it's still a lot better than his usual stat-line. Anyone can attest to that. This is about as good as it gets other than an occasional 7ip, 3h, 2bb's 10k's on 110 pitches outing.
