Today's schedule is shaken, not stirred.
Action all day. 2 morning starts, 2 doubleheaders (1 in the morning, 1 around Happy Hour) and TBD pitching a lot today. Oh, and David Price Shawaryn apparently pushed back to tomorrow.

Lineups for Greenville are out and still no Chatham. Hopefully we'll see him in game 2 but at this point you have to think there's been some sort of setback, right?

Tsu Wei Lin - human hit machine.
Interesting progression to watch. Sure he's repeating a level but love to see the success. So hard to play at AA and above, if he keeps this up he will earn himself a jump up to the taxi squad in AAA.

Can we say that Chatham has been injury-prone so far as a professional? I mean, this is his 3rd injury in less than a year with the organisation! Did he have health related issues when he was in college?

Did he have health related issues when he was in college? Well, to be fair, it's likely just a re-aggravation of the same injury he started the year with. Chatham to the DL. Darwinzon too. Mata up and Gonzalez up to Salem. Interesting to see what the rest of the moves are going to be. There's three people leaving the roster and only one coming in. Are they required to keep the roster at 25 or would they keep it as is? Nothing says they have to be at 25. I presume they'll activate Dakota Smith from his paper move to Lowell for one of those tomorrow or something. May just keep the other spot open for a few days if someone like Downs or Dalbec is close to being re-activated.

He is really driving the balls.

Your question is very easy to check on Baseball Reference: www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=lin---000tzuTo answer your question, a little CF after Tavarez got promoted, opening up OF playing time for Lin and Longhi.

Looks like Shawaryn is actually going to pitch game 2 after all.

What was/is Chatham's injury? Never was mentioned on here, at least not when searching his name.

As noted on his player page, it was his hamstring (sorry, originally put transactions but then realized he wasn't on the DL for us to note that). I've confirmed he re-injured the hamstring on the caught stealing the other day.

here's hoping sharwin Shawaryn doesn't end up like Anthony Ranaudo if we end up fast tracking him

Yeah, Shawaryn has been pretty fantastic. That first start was such a disaster that it's still bringing his ERA for the year all the way from 1.80 to 3.45. 38.5% K rate over that stretch.

Can't wait to see mid-season rankings. It'll be more exciting than usual because of how many guys have stepped it up this year along with all of the room to move since there wasn't much separating #4-#20.

If Price has a ligament issue -- I think reports said the doctors told him that they'd recommend surgery if he were younger -- maybe they are better off shutting him down and considering more permanent solutions. That probably means surgery, but maybe it's more extensive rehab and/or platlet therapy. But it is hard to imagine he is right, and it is hard to imagine that getting much better.

Price is getting lit up again. Seems nowhere near ready.
