Well...took the bat out of Mookie's hands. Pedey - you ready?

Kelly-Scott-Kimbrel-Barnes. Rescued another shaky Porcello start. Can't forget how important this bullpen is!

Great win! Nice come back, even against a sub-standard team this is good stuff.
Now, Porcellow, go fix your release point.

I keep thinking that some of these guys aren't healthy because of the way they're performing (example- Price, Porcello, Hanley, Pomeranz and the abandonment of his cutter at times).
Porcello threw a lot of innings last year, so did Price. Hanley played a lot of innings last year on the field. Pomeranz had a innings high last year and a PRP injection.
I'm not sure if they're hurt or what it is. I just hope they make it through the season healthy, especially for Price, Porcello, and Pomeranz (pitching side of things). The Sox have no one to replace these guys in house.

Jhonny Peralta unconditionally released. Wouldn't mind trying to fix him up a bit in AAA to see if we can get another righty infielder for depth.

Not to mention Farrell ringing him out in his last start to the tune of 123 pitches in 5 innings against NYY. High effort innings for a guy who averaged 93 pitches per game before that and has had arm troubles. All to try to get him a "W."

Can Brian Johnson be as good as Drew Pomeranz has been for 2018? Can Jalen Beeks? Hector Velazquez? Sad to say, I don't think either of those guys can miss the bats Pomeranz can, even as damaged goods.

The Sox are very averse to stepping on a team's throat in the 1st inning

Two guys who scare the hell out of me with runner on first and 1 out are Pedey and Hanley.

Hanley just has no baseball IQ, I'm sorry to say. He's not swinging the bat particularly well plus he's facing a pitcher who is having a hard time finding the strike zone. Most would think to look for a specific pitch. Make this guy throw strikes. So what does he do? Swing at two pitches out of the strike zone and grounds into a double play. Infuriating.
Why is he batting ahead of jbj?! 😫

Mookie may as well not even leave the batters box when he hits 109 mph ground balls right at guys.
