If Fister has another good start, any chance he stays in the rotation when Price comes back? E-Rod started out the year great but has struggled since injuring his knee in Balt. Would we be a better team with a power lefty out of the pen 2x each for 2-3 innings per game? Or, leaving him in as a starter??
I like E-Rod going forward. He's pitched some great games in NY and Baltimore. Don't want to keep him in the pen long term. Just a couple of months if he's not 100pct.

This has got to be Farrell's last season. He keeps doubling down on stupid.

We will get into the ALCS and his stupid bullpen decisions will cost us. The shine has worn off Chili and Victor..

Fister gave a two really good starts, until this last one vs the Indians. Johnson is just coming back from an injury and is definitely injury prone. He one stellar game in Boston and lot of meh. Velazquez was meh. I have no issues with Fister for the time being. He did say "at this point", another stinker and maybe he reconsiders. I think this is where DD is involved, too. If DFA's Fister and calls up BJ or Beeks, the decision is made for Farrell. Although I am sure they talk about moves like this.
Hopefully Price is healthy and ready to go soon.
I'm not a huge Farrell fan, but they are 4-1/2 up, have been ravaged by injuries. I think he's doing ok.

Just came to post that. Very encouraging stuff. Makes me wonder if the Sox will consider retaining him. Could be getting expensive, especially if he does his thing in the playoffs. I'll admit, when he's on he's a ton of fun to watch. Nasty back-door benders and frozen-on-91-at-the-knees is an increasingly rare treat.

Yup definitely think the sox will be very interested in resigning him. the question will be money. I think both fister and moreland are high on the sox list to resign, but it will be how they fit in the cap structure both money per year and how long a contract.
