Home runs are up everywhere around the league. Why did this team not get the memo? Bleeping Whit Merrifield would be the team OPS leader if he was on the Sox.

Meanwhile, Tanaka has a perfect game while Judge and Frazier have homered. What's a homer? That's the thing the Red Sox pitching staff gives up, particularly Porcello.

Devers the lone bright spot on this team right now as Chris Young pops out before him.

The Yankees go 7-19 and the Red Sox can't bury them. Guess what. The Yankees are not going to have a stretch like that again this season.
I know it's blasphemous to say it on this board - but the Yankees have a better team now than the Red Sox do and they have the brighter future ahead of them.
The Yankees will be back ahead of the Red Sox tonight and now that they fixed that bullpen problem that was killing them, they should play very well from here forward. I would anticipate that they'll start to catch up to their pythorean record. And I do anticipate the Yankees will pick up a starter.
As far as the Red Sox go, they'll probably overpay for Justin Wilson, and they'll be in that one game playoff for the Wild Card spot assuming they can finish ahead of Tampa and KC, which is debatable.
This offense is a joke and starting Doug Fister means that alongside Porcello, the Red Sox will have two guaranteed losses every 5th day. Porcello has his usual HR problems, but the Sox offense again is dead.
This is such a joyless boring team.

Devers is the best hitter on this team right now. I'm only mildly joking, that's the sad thing.

The Yankees hitting on every damn prospect with the shopping spree of the century looming, makes the Sox gutlessness unbearable.

I would like to see the Sox score so I can stop hearing about the Yankees tonight.

The Yankees hitting on every damn prospect with the shopping spree of the century looming, makes the Sox gutlessness unbearable. They made two excellent trades last year getting C. Frazier and Torres. They were a .500 team on the edge of contention, not a cellar dweller, yet Cashman decided to stockpile the farm system instead of trying to win with a flawed. Teams that have a shot, even if it's fringy, don't normally dismantle the way the Yankees did. They have a better farm system. They must not use George's old cronies anymore. That Tampa faction did a lot of damage. I think Cashman is finally running the team the way he wants to, without the interference from above.

Well, with an outfield of Benintendi, Bradley, and Betts, and Devers and X on the left side, it is hard to feel bad about hitting it rich with young players. I am not worried about having a great core going forward.

The Yankees are hot and the Rays are laying down like dogs to them. The Sox are arguably playing their worst stretches all season the past couple of weeks. Things aren't as bad as it seems.

Devers the lone bright spot on this team right now as Chris Young pops out before him. That is so true. Can we please explain to the other hitters in our lineup that the object of an at bat is to get a hit? We have too many zombies in the batters box. If they had an option ounce of pride, they would be ashamed that a 20 year old has a better plan in the batters box than they do.

David Ortiz would have eaten that ump alive if he had been rung up on that in a late game situation, same with Pedroia.

If Bogaerts isn't on the 10-day by tomorrow then Farrell should lose his job. You're hurting the player by continuing to put him out there and more important you're hurting the team.

Horrendous offense. Losing winnable games and has zero come back on 1-2 runs deficit is getting tiresome.
