Will someone please get Jonny Gomes another mic? Dude's the heaviest breather I've ever heard.

would really like to see ERod become a solid starter. We got the ACE, just concentrate on being better.

Hey gang...got to see Beni hit the homer - went out to walk the dogs - 3-2, and saw Raffy hit that laser at third.
Early yet - this series will be a grind. Lots of back and forth.

So you think the team with the 2 best records in the AL are winning despite an aggressive style that has led to being thrown the most. Is that akin to the teams with the best OBP leaving the most men on base?

Hey it's Hunter Wendelstadt behind the plate, the ump who thought that study showing umps miss calls just outside the zone more than 36% of the time "interesting."

I think that's a bit strong, but... yeah the logic stated isn't great. That's not to say the strategy itself doesn't have logic. For example, being aggressive on the bases because the team is last in the AL and 27th in baseball in HR, and 13th in the AL and 24th in baseball in slugging, would make sense. They've been above-average in BsR (0.5, 5th in the AL and 14th in baseball), so the strategy is, in theory (although you could say they'd be higher if they were being less aggressive, I guess), working. Tough to tell without a dive into the success rate they have on aggressive baserunning plays. Anyone? What about the misplays/errors of fielders rushing because they know the Sox will be aggressive. Or the times they throw behind the runner etc.

Just curious.

ERod's biggest mistake was giving up a 3 run HR when he's only given up 5 base runners. Looks great.

I don't get why Brock Holt is getting so much PT. Enough already. There are 3-4 other guys I'd rather see playing 1st on this team...today.

Perez goes from zero to hero against Boston. This happened in the playoffs. Sick of bum Perez showing up and having his one good game of the year against Boston.
