I was ready to lose my mind around the 6th inning when Pillar made that catch. Realizing what had happened this past week with everything. The Edelman injury, the Irving trade, the Sox losing ground. Ready to burn a town to the ground.
I took a deep breathe, realized that the Jays bullpen stinks and realized that the Yankees were finally losing for once this week.
I am good now. I don't need to call my psychiatrist.

Bret Anderson will be called up to get the start, the Blue Jays radio broadcast said. Gee not sure how I feel about this, but then again the Brett Anderson I remember is certainly not the Brett Anderson of today.

I'm new to guitar. I've only been playing about six months. I love it but I'm not very naturally talented. I was playing Under the Milky Way by The Church and I'm fiddling around with Free Fallin' by Tom Petty. Clearly im good luck. Sox up 4-3 now and bases are jacked. Excellent. I started about 11 years ago (started late also) and can now play a lot of different stuff. Stay with it, it is just muscle memory, but beginning will test the patience of any sinner or saint. The Red Sox fan band? I picked the guitar up when I was pretty young (10 or so) - was in a few (bad) bands. Can't read, but play by ear - lead, not rhythm. Inspired first by George Harrison, later Pat Metheny (big jazz listener). It is good therapy...wow, so I've been playing on and off for 51 years!

I spelt his name wrong if the way you spelt it was correct (your way of spelling seems more correct). Brett has been throwing side sessions for a college baseball team before the Jays signed him. Who knows how sharp he'll be. The Sox should win easily with Sale on the mound either way.

Started out by looking at tabs on the internet (along with beginner jams with my buddy - who is phenomenal blues player). Now i can pick up a lot of things by ear also. Eclectic tastes. I can go blues, metal, folk, pretty much anything except country (just can't get into it). It is i fun hobby, just wish i had picked it up when I was real young.

Kimbrel not at his sharpest tonight. We're about ten feet from a tie game right now.
Glad it happened in a three-run game. Now finish this, Craig.

Kimbrel was about 4 feet shy from having this be a one run game on that fly ball. But it's just a verrry long out.
Edit Well, I was gonna post that before Josh Donaldson did exactly that.

That frickin' Angel Hernandez cost Kimbrel a 1-2-3 inning on about 8 or 9 pitches. I'm getting the Blue Jays broadcast tonight, and even they said that 2-2 pitch to Lopez was a strike.
But, the Sox WIN!!!!

Wasn't easy, but I'll take it. Nice to get back in the win column.

Let this be the start of a nice long winning streak.
Odd feast or famine night for the offense - CV with 4 hits, 4 players with 2 hits - and some big bats silent - Mookie, Xander, Raffi (and Holt). Somehow, Mookie and Xander need to find it - too much soft contact, harmless pop ups.
Nice gutsy performance by Pom....incredibly efficient Workman bridge (7 pitches to get through his inning) - and a Kimbrel heart attack save!
I think we are seeing CVaz settling in as the starting catcher - approaching .300, knack for the big hit - and the D was supposed to be his calling card. He is only 27!

Great win. Vazquez with a great game - a stolen base along with the 4 hits. Raise your hand if you had Vazquez batting 30 points higher than Mookie at the end of August. Anyone? Anyone? Buhler?

This scum is a below avg hitter, bellow avg runner and a below avg fielder with no versatility what so ever. So yeah, I'll sherish the day he joins his fat friend on the DFA list. Scum seems harsh. I'm a little late to the party, but even in a gameday thread, calling a player "scum" is a little too much. I direct you to the forum ground rules, and, in particular, the rule about respecting the players. Criticizing Hanley is fine, just tone down the name calling, etc. Thanks.

Number one priority this offseason...sign a power hitting basemen who can hit 35-40 home runs in a season
we might go into to September without one player having 20 home runs

Didn't watch (thanks United!), but it sounds like Pom was struggling w/ the strike zone. Just want to say I love this guy, and I love Dombrowski for making an unpopular trade.
That's all.

I've been on the Pom bandwagon from day one, had some doubts at times, but I always loved the stuff and how it moves. I wasn't sure if it was sustainable, hee just seemed like a guy that could lose it and start walking everyone. But he's having an utterly terrific season and while there's still some inconsistencies here and there, his stuff looks even better.
