That's the least earned run of all-time.

Nunez and Ramirez is the right side of our infield. It's amazing that hasn't caused more trouble.

More at bats not swinging, more running into outs. I don't get it. I won't blame Benintendi for getting caught stealing there. I won't blame Farrell for it either. I understand that but Benintendi on base twice thrown out at 2nd twice. Plus this whole wreckless running game drives me nuts. Body of work to the point where even the reasonable stuff begins to look like excess. And I'm still pissed off about the first innig.

I'm guessing Nunez is the DH tomorrow.

Going to have to tighten it up when, as we expect, they make it to the playoffs. That stuff won't get you very far when teams are fighting for every game. Suffice it to say that Nunez isn't in the same class as Pedroia.

It is. It's totally his ball. The scoring rules need to be changed so that kind of ball is not a hit. Nunez made a physical mistake misplaying a ball that isn't easy to catch but is not a tough play for a major league infielder. Mookie made a mental mistake in not yelling him off the ball. It's not a stinking hit any way you slice it.

Feel bad for Erod - some bad breaks.

X bobbled that. that play was difficult, but should have been made. Defense let pitching down.

Incredible job by ERod not completely imploding with so much working against him that inning.

ERod is pitching so terribly giving up a line drive that the 2B chased down before it got to the RF, a pop up and a ground ball that bounced 12 times to Xander, all for hits.

Gotta feel for E-Rod. Weak contact all inning.

Despite Porcello's record, it really is ERod who has been the unluckiest starter this year. I am really encouraged by this start. He is a fighter.

Betts is lost right now a shell of what he was last year, has lost his confidence doesn't even want to swing hoping for walks. Bogaerts needs to go to bench once Pedroia is back. Doesn't look like there will be any long term extensions to young players this offseason need to prove themselves again next year.

Suffice it to say that Nunez isn't in the same class as Pedtoia. Agreed - at this point, baserunning gaffes, weak clutch hitting, some big slumps (X, Mookie) - and defense - lots to clean up indeed if they want to make a deep run

I'd have someone warming to start the 6th. ERod at 91 pitches. I might wait until Sanchez to take him out, just to keep Gardner facing a lefty and forcing Hicks to stay batting RH.
