At least the Yankees are losing 3-0.

Like I said all along, obviously anyone would have Trevor Bauer start in Game 1.

Yankees lose and they have to face Kluber tomorrow. Good luck with that.

Like I said all along, obviously anyone would have Trevor Bauer start in Game 1. That's why he's Tito and we're not. It's amazing how foolish the Sox FO was not to realize what a gem they had in Francona. Still ticks me off when I think about it. It is so easy to root for the Indians to win the World Series.

Perhaps Baker will compete for the 2017 Grady Little award.

Of course Kluber throws shut outs versus the Sox last year in the playoffs and then sh*ts the bed this year against the Yankees.

I meant quality-wise, not in terms of rooting interest. But yes, that would be optimal.
I'd actually switched over to the NLDS when it was 8-3 and missed the Lindor grand slam entirely. Hadn't even checked in to see they were rallying.

The 8-8 score caught me by surprise. Wow. MFY going down? Man on second, no outs!

And there it is! Betances on the bump when the loss comes - Indians with a spectacular come back!

Optimal.
Betances probably unavailable for game 3 now as well, right?
EDIT: Nevermind about game three - Betances only threw 35 pitches tonight. Seemed like a lot more which I suppose happens in extra innings in the playoffs.

MFY losing in gut wrecking fashion is a very good way to close the day CLOSE the day? Diamondbacks vs. Dodgers is still in the top of the first! The best way to get over that Red Sox debacle is definitely by watching 12 additional hours of baseball.

It is 12:27am and they just finished the fourth inning. My chances of making it through this game are not great.

All's well that ends well. Kershaw does his Sale/Kluber impression... and still wins. Strasburg with the best pitching line of the day... and looses.

Kershaw had only allowed two runs through six, then gave up a pair of solo homers when he came out for the 7th. The Mathis one got out by six inches. He pitched really well while it was still a game.

I know much has been made out of losing Tory L. to the D-Backs, but he is in the exact same position the Sox are about to be in, down 2 games to none in a short series. Imo, the Sox need to clean house with the entire coaching staff if they end up losing. That would of meant that I would of been in favor of letting Tory go along with Farrell if they both were still here.

They don't need that, the only person I'd take over DiSarcina is Alex Cora and that probably isn't happening.
