I'm fairly certain his would put the Red Sox over the $237M mark and Jones has been so bad defensively his WAR on both B-Ref and FG is about the same as Bradley's. You're trading two years of control of Bradley and moving back 10 spots in next year's draft for a wash.

Do any of your trade proposals ever not include JBJ?

Proposal was a Christian Arcand special from 98.5 last night. Arcand also said the Sox should trade Xander because he's not young anymore and SS is easy enough to replace.

X is 25 years old and I don't know if he thinks most replacement SS are anywhere near as good. Christian Arcand doesn't sound too bright.

As I alluded to in another thread Domingo Santana has been sent down by the Brewers. He's having a really bad year but he's not far removed from being a pretty good player.
Wouldn't mind seeing the Sox take him from the Brewers and their overcrowded outfield for a reasonable price.
The Sox could use a RH bat off the bench and I'd think there would be some bounceback given that he's only 26.
Perhaps Hyers could work with him and he could be insurance in case of an outfield injury or if JBJ flat out doesn't hit much going forward.
In a best case scenario could even be a guy who could become a regular outfielder allowing for JBJ to get dealt - if he can bounce back.
At worst I think he'd be good depth. Certainly cheaper cost financially than Adam Jones anyways.

I read on mlbtraderumors.com that the Sox have inquired about Mark Canha of the A's but they couldn't agree on what pitcher the Sox would send Oakland, but it could be revisited down the road.
He's another RH hitting OF who could play 1st and fit the roster well.
