Cuevas was called back up to the Red Sox, so he will not be making the start today for Pawtucket. Shepherd hasn’t pitched since the 3rd and Jerez since the second, so those are two possibilities to pitch today. Would that put Shepherd on regular rest?

Hernandez electric today, 5.2 no-hit innings, 5 walks (should have been 3, 4 max; home plate ump's strike zone has been utter garbage), career-high 10 strikeouts. Potomac couldn't touch him; FB sitting around 94-95, a couple at 96.

Feltman is destroying the competition in Lowell. Perfect inning with 2 more Ks. Got a one pitch groundout to start the inning and then got the next two batters to strikeout on 6 straight swing and misses.
Also in the Lowell game, Jarren Duran with a four hit game including his sixth triple. Now OPSing .970.

Feltman I figured would roll, but he’s been electric. And Duran has been even better than I hoped. 6 triples?!

Hopefully it’s something good. Such as... a promotion straight to Boston? Of course not. But something good as in a tour or a chance to meet some of the players. As opposed to something bad like medical testing.

Holy smoke. Can this be possible...Duran with 6 triples in 41 ABs? Hitting .375.
Cole at .242 in Lowell....combined Lowell and Greenville has 4 doubles and 2 triples in 190 ABs.

Everything that can go wrong, has gone wrong so far. Until I hear otherwise, I’m going to assume it’s good news. Allow me this bit of optimism before we get any bad news. Or no news.

Holy smoke. Can this be possible...Duran with 6 triples in 41 ABs? Hitting .375. So naturally at first blush I was skeptical and figured his triple total was more a function of those crummy NYPL outfielders turning a bunch of doubles into triples. But based on Cundall's tweet, that wasn't the case on Sunday: LF cut the ball off before the warning track and Duran still made three bases? That's legitimately impressive.

Sea Dogs last game in CT for the year. It was a nice extended view but I am sorry I will miss this years late season promotions. Once again there is not much offense to report. Tinoco pitched way better than his numbers, showing 93 to 96 on the stadium gun. He was perfect through 4 with 5 k's (including Chavis on a 96). Leading off the 5th, he went full to Ockimey, then left an 87 slider up and Josh didn't miss it, launching it over the high wall in right center. Josh' other hit was a slow roller to second that Bednar tried to shovel with his glove but was unsuccessful.

Shawaryn was 92 to 94 with one 95 in the first. Hartford had good at-bats against him in the third. Carrizales and Jones both ended 8 pitch at-bats with hits and Hilliard followed with a two run double to conclude the scoring against him. It was a 31 pitch inning for Mike and I was impressed that he was able to come back and shut down the Yard Goats in the 4th and strike out the side in the 5th. In the fifth, he had only 2 of his 18 pitches crack 90 at 91, everything else was 84 to 87.
