Dalbec is probably going to move up in the July 15 update, but not into the top 5. It's really easy to look at his season line right now and just assume he's been crushing the ball all year, but on July 2, he was a good but not amazing .222/.345/.475 with a perfectly fine BABIP while striking out at a 31.6% clip. He's just on an insane tear right now that had him up to .260/.371/.573 a little over a week later. Yes, that's 98 points of slugging in a freaking week in July. But go look at what I posted in the Dalbec thread - he had another period where he went on a tear for 12 games in May/June and then he was brutal for 19 games. During that period, nobody was asking why Dalbec wasn't in the top 5. Nobody was asking why he wasn't in the top 10. A week or two is just not enough to suddenly erase the rest of a season.
Now, if he actually keeps this up for an extended period, THEN we'd be talking.
