Last year's 34th rounder Luis Torres was released today. Join Andrew Carber and Kory Behenna as members of the 2017 class to be cut (David Durden is also gone but he retired).

Torres hadn't played all year despite being on the DSL1 roster. One wonders if it was an injury issue.

Torres hadn't played all year despite being on the DSL1 roster. One wonders if it was an injury issue. I think he got in 1 PA on June 11 and then 3 PAs on June 17....but doesn't change the possibility that it could have been an injury issue.

He performed well in his very limited sample last year. Just kinda weird.

Looks like Victor Acosta is up to Salem with Tyler Hill going to the DL. Acosta hit well there briefly last year so i'm intrigued about how he will do!

Beeks left after 4 2/3 after getting the first two out in the 5th. Leaves with 0 runs, 4 hits, seven Ks. He was at 96 pitches. So maybe pitch count but I hope it's not another injury.

Kent with 8 innings of shutout ball. Still no Chavis. Sounds like more than "a little banged up".
Duran now has as many SB as triples which seems like a weird thing to type. Pantoja with 5 innings of shutout ball.
