Thornburg velocity: 2012 93.1 2013 92.7 2014 94.6 2015 92.9 2016 95.1 2018 93.7 In fairness 1.5 mph is a little bit of a difference from 2016 to 2018, but Thornburg should still find a way to be really effective at 93 mph still. Agreed was just overwhelmed by the original gross exaggeration. Something to consider, Tyler's two best years were 2016 & 2013, his fastest and slowest.

Chris Sale better get the same strike zone that the Tigers just got in the top half of the first.

What do you mean by book strike zone? He's been giving a inch at least on the outer edges east and west so far.

I'm not sure Moreland makes the pick at first base that Pearce just made.

ADD: Gibson is about as exciting as dirt but he's pretty knowledgeable.

Xander and Benintendi would be the best hitters on a lot of teams, but then we've got Mookie and JDM ahead of them. That's pretty ridiculous.

The tv of the game is free today on mlb.com. Sale looks very strong, again.

The tv of the game is free today on mlb.com. Sale looks very strong, again. I've noticed that it says "Free Game of the Day" for pretty much every game for the past few days, but whenever I click on the video it says "blackout restrictions" or whatever. I've been watching BAL/TOR instead. Happ looked pretty good. Both teams made some poor defensive plays that lead to the runs. I'm hoping that Britton pitches the 9th since it's 4-1 Baltimore with Toronto batting in the bottom of the 8th.

Febles may have screwed us out of a big inning there.

That time that being way too cautious causes an out on the bases...

Well, guess he only cost us one run (and maybe another GS from the team's total).

That's probably JBJ's third HR of the series in a different ballpark. He's been torching the ball over the last two days.

Break this open. One run doesn't do it. JBJ does!

Wow, that's a great sight to see JBJ going to LF like that. That's your Fenway swing man.

4 run inning so nobody cares, but I thought holding the runner at 3rd was the right call. No outs and the ball didn't bounce out of the infield, if Bogaerts gets sent there would have been a close play at home.

JBJ has a career high 11sb this year, a hot second half he could have his first 15/15 year (if he's really en fuego could knock on the door of 20/20). I predict he'll stretch out one of his famous hot streaks and make Boras very happy these next few months
