Looks like Antoni Flores is ready to get back on the field. He was assigned to the GCL today. Also Lane Milligan was promoted to Lowell and Bramdon Perez is back down to the GCL, where I assume he will make his debut soon.

Also seems like the Red Sox are exercising caution with everyone who has gotten hurt (Decker, Diaz, Flores and many more). Flores was labeled as "general soreness" and he is just now getting back. Decker's 3-4 weeks might be way more based on this time frame.

Gregori Custodio making his debut as DH for DSL2. 2-3, 3 RBI so far with 2 SBs and a walk. The Sox are running all over the opposing catchers: 2 SBs for Custodio, 3 for Maita, one for Rangel, and one for Hernandez. 2 CS though.
On the other side of the DSL, Cedanne Rafaela continues to hit well and steal bases. He’s in a bit of a power slump with only 4 XBH in his last 22 games, but has been showing solid contact skills during that time.

Lane Milligan making his Lowell debut, batting second and playing center field. Have to wonder if he’s going to leave catching behind at this point. With the work you need to put into being behind the plate, you’d have to assume they’d want him to be developing there. On the other hand, limiting the innings can give him a longer shelf life behind the plate. 5 games behind the dish, including 2 in the past week. I don’t remember a situation quite like this before.

Brandon Howlett is 3-3 on the day with a 2B(9) and HR(3). Shame they won't let he and northcut rotate between 3b and DH daily. It seems like 1 is sitting daily and those 2 are the cream on the GCL team with both Casas and Decker out hurt.

Howlett 85 ABs .346/.436/.568/1.004 3HRs 12BB 21K As I mentioned in another thread I am looking forward to following Howlett. If he cuts down on his swing and miss we may have something of very good prospect. We'll see next year, hopefully in Greenville. I'd love to see a Mookie Betts type trajectory lol. Ok, that may be pushing it but you never know. Odds are we are going to hit on one of these later round or IFA prospects soon. Also, weird line of the day goes to...
