I assume one of the new pitchers will start today for Salem, I just can't find any confirmation anywhere. Crawford pitched Friday in Greenville, so it's not him. Reyes last pitched on Monday. So I'll guess Denyi Reyes makes his High A debut this afternoon. Still could be Jake Thompson, though, but I think giving him a break might be a good idea.

Bobby!
I enjoy having at least one prospect who makes me irrationally exuberant.

Nunez is really intriguing from a physical standpoint at least.

Denyi Reyes did make the start in Salem as anticipated and Josh Tobias was added to the Salem roster as well. Not sure if it’s part of his rehab assignment or not.

Dalbec’s second homerun went 451 ft according to the broadcaster. His first homerun was an opposite field shot

2 homers for Dalbec and nearly 6 shutout innings for Reyes. Like clockwork

5 more minutes or so until someone mentions Dalbec getting a cup of coffee in September.

Saw that the voice of the Sea Dogs, the great Mike Antonellis, called his 3000 MiLB game today. Congrats for the milestone Mike!

Denyi Reyes throws a scoreless debut in Salem.
Jarren Duran goes 5-5 and is now batting .588 in Greenville.
Josh Ockimey: 2 home runs in three games, 1.15 OPS in Pawtucket.
Bobby Dalbec: 2 home runs in threee games, 1.66 OPS in Portland.
Pretty good first couple of days, huh?

Scoreless inning today for Trey Ball. I guess he’s still a pitcher

Jarren Duran is what we drafted Cole Brannen to be. (which, wow what a drop he's had)
I refuse to get off the "trade Dalbec he's not a MLB player" train, mostly at this point so I can say how wrong I was. That power is unreal... maybe he's just a guy who you live with the strikeouts. I'll have to go look at see how much better any out is than a K (in the context of advancing runners, but also risking DP, for a slow player may be a wash).

But I’m gonna add: my boy Tanner Nishioka with two taters, now with 7 on the year and a .320 BA/.903 OPS. Let’s hear it for the DIII dark horse!!!

I say give him time. But Duran...yeah. Awesome. I *loved* him as a pick and I’m gonna keep hyping him cuz the hype is REAL.

Just lost $10 on Daniel McGrath's racehorse. (Nice filly. Tough trip for her, she got carried wide throughout.)

I haven't heard Mike do a game but one of the Paw Sox announcers (I don't remember which one) did a Red Sox game a few days ago when Tim N wasn't there and I thought he was excellent.

Nunez is really intriguing from a physical standpoint at least. ramireja had a detailed scouting report on him in the fringe five thread (currently on page 3). Eight of ten in steal attempts on the year make him interesting at the catcher's position.
