Brayan Bello continues to dominate. 6 IP, 2 ER, 11 Ks, and 0 walks. He definitely seems too advanced for the DSL. Time to give him a couple starts in Fort Myers.

Temporary inactive list for Lakins. Is that kind of like the bereavement list in the minors?

Temporary inactive list for Lakins. Is that kind of like the bereavement list in the minors? "Temporarily inactive list: If a Minor League player is away from a team for a few days because of a personal matter, travel to an All-Star game, etc., and is not placed on the DL, he is placed on the temporary inactive list." Not the same as bereavement, which is a separate designation. In this case... ... unlike Mookie, Lakins hasn't mastered the concept of "have the kid in the off-season."

Shawaryn with more progress. I love the direction he is headed. Houck as well. Both continuing to evolve and pitch well

Houck was utterly dominant tonight. One mistake pitch for a solo homer, and he was otherwise in full control. I was more than a little surprised that he didn't come back out for the eighth. In his last six starts, he's 3-0 with a 2.04 ERA and 1.00 WHIP, not to mention 41 K against just six BB in 35 innings.
