I argued for JDM as MVP before, but I have come around. Mookie is magic. Once a generation guy.

Not trying to be a homer here hehehe, but for real boys I'm sure that the HR distance of JBJ, Mookie and Holt is superior to the HR distance of all the MFY's combined in that series.

I just HATE it that they pulled Wright. Stretch him out. He is the perfect starter against a free swinging bunch like the MFY.

Big game for Brasier - getting right back onto the horse.
Getting Barnes an inning would be a good thing as well.
Seeing how Cora uses the last 9 games to get the playoff roster figured out will be really interesting.
Also a big game for Cora - these games sped up on him a bit, but he seems like a really fast learner.

Man, I absolutely love Wright when he's on, which is most of the time.
He was the man in this game.

What I've noticed about Mookie all night - he just had a calm presence in each at bat - in total control, no extra motion - really focused. At his young age, whether he likes it or not, he sets the tone - he is the leader of this team. And that is just perfect. I was really kinda “meh” on batting him leadoff, but after this season, I love it. He DOES set the tone. It gets him more AB. And yeah, maybe it’d be nice if he got to drive in a few more...but he’s just so damn demoralizing to the other team offensively. Lead-off HR, doubles, SBs, superb baserunning...just incredibly disruptive. And when the next 3 hitters are all well-above average, well...he’s perfect where he is. 30-30 well within sight, and an outside (unlikely, but you never know in Fenway...) shot at adding 50 doubles. I’m not sure if that’s ever even been done before.

OK - we are between innings - anyone here dealt with carpal tunnel? I am considering surgery...had a cortisone shot, jury is out. I blame too much time on the laptop......

I can’t believe that this division race is almost over. It seems like yesterday they were whuppin’ on the Angels in Anaheim, and really getting into that big run before NY came storming back. And we were all wondering if the Sox could keep it up or if the Yankees would just go supernova on everyone. And here we are, and it’s the Sox who’ve been unequivocally, uninterruptedly incredible, and NY that wilted. WHAT A REGULAR SEASON!! So much fun, guys. I’m glad I got to share the ups and occasional (minor) downs with you all.

I think this Mookie kid will be a player. I know, I know. But I'm serious. He’s wiry thin and like 5’8”. That’s crazytalk. I know, I'm out on the shakiest of limbs.

OK - we are between innings - anyone here dealt with carpal tunnel? I am considering surgery...had a cortisone shot, jury is out. I blame too much time on the laptop...... Very, very simple 10-min surgery for release. High success, done with mild-moderate sedation and under local anesthetic (Bier block). Easy-peasy in most cases. Get a good hand surgeon; both plastics and ortho have hand fellowships. I’ve seen good surgeons from both training programs.

I just HATE it that they pulled Wright. Stretch him out. He is the perfect starter against a free swinging bunch like the MFY. Disagree. He's a huge bullpen piece going forward. I want to see him work in multiple relief appearances rather than one long outing.

I want to see him work in multiple relief appearances rather than one long outing. You are super right in your assessment, however, I'm looking at our other starters against the MFY.... I'd list to illustrate my point, but you know, beer.

OK Kimbrel in a non-save situation. I don’t care if it’s all just in his head. That means it’s all just in his head!
