Well that series was downright fugly. We looked like a team still in ST mode. I don't think the Mariners were stealing signs, I don't think that the pitchers can't pitch to Vazquez/Swihart, it looked like they were not regular season ready. But the pen (who not coincidentally had a normal Spring of preparation) was a bright spot. Silver linings and all...
The Mariners had the 2 games in Japan. They got to come home, settle in and rest up. When I saw the schedule originally my first reaction was "An extended west coast trip right out of the gate? Yuck, this might not go well...".

Only have to go 3-1 v. A's this week to get to .500! That shouldn't be so hard if RS get something from a starter, have Bogaerts and Beni awake, get some situational hitting going, stop giving up meatballs.
No excuses. Time to snap out of it and pay attention to the gameplan (ERod). Oakland being a much better team demands that.

Starting pitching cost the team the most but Cora mismanaging his bench in the 9th was a massive mistake.

If JBJ gets a hit, he's a genius.

If JBJ gets a hit, he's a genius. No he’s not. Maybe if Vasquez did but JBJ had nothing to do with it. He’s just the one who could have saved his dumb managerial decision.

Why did Cora pinch hit Swihart for Nunez? Nunez should have hit. If anything he should of pinch run Swihart for Moreland & pinch hit Holt for Vazquez. Nunez & Holt are both better hitters then Swihart or Vazquez.
