It’s actually really interesting (and upsetting) how consistently bad the starting pitching has been over this 10 game stretch.

This is what happened when the only pitch they can throw is a fastball.

Price has definitely looked better tonight to me. A little bit of a victim of BABIP that inning , which extended it and maybe fatigued him a bit due to no stamina yet? My very amateur assessment.

This really sums up the Sox rotation problems for the season. They aren't getting swings and misses.

Salty is agreeing with you that it might be a fatigue thing. I’m no expert, but I saw him miss two sliders that Vazquez wanted inside and he missed off the plate outside. He was literally two feet off the target. That is just awful command.

I agree with Guerin Austin. She should go to the hot tub tomorrow. At least I'll have something else to stare at besides the bad baseball being played by the home team.

If he is back to being sharp to start this inning, I will chalk it up to endurance build up

That first game of the NCAA Final Four was awesome. Coming to watch our boys.......meh.
Why is this happening to the starters.....Occam's Razor, that is my guess.

It was most certainly NOT awesome from the perspective of a guy whose high school senior son, who is bound for Auburn next year, is emotionally crushed. Edit. I don’t think the way they are shaving has anything to do with pitching.

Lost in the championship game this season. That was a very tough Auburn team. Oh......to be young and be able to run around and play sports !!!

Vazquez is a terrible hitter. I’d be more than fine with us rolling with Swihart for a while.

I am very happy with Price tonight. He had the 2nd inning where some balls fell that were not hard hit and the inning was extended and he looked fatigued. He has been pretty sharp besides that.
