Seasons have turning points both good and bad. Best example ever is when Tek punched Arod in the face after Arroyo had plunked him. I’m hopeful that this game will be a turning point for the 2019 team. edit. But it’s possible I’m quite wrong. Nah... a walk-off win will be the turning point. Go buy some lottery tickets. Nicely predicted.

And just to inform people of Joe Kelly's start
5 games, 6 innings, 12 hits, 9 earned runs, 2 home runs given up, 1 win, 2 losses, 3 blown saves and a big 13.50 ERA.
So things can be worse - and are elsewhere!

One more crazy stat. We have four wins - and two of them are owned by...
wait for it...
Marcus Walden!

They needed that one badly. Very badly. Good thing Grichuk didn't catch that ball in CF and Giles is extremely bad against the Red Sox.
Great win. Moreland has been a beast.
He is the April/May MVP. In a way, minus the personal issues, he reminds me a little of Bernie Carbo, who usually got off to a great start and would tail off. Moreland is the same way, and like Carbo, he has a huge PH 3 Run HR in the World Series to his credit - and that is as tail end of the year as it gets.
Maybe next game - the Sox can actually win more than 1 in a row and they can actually win with a well pitched starting pitching performance. Wow. What a concept.
It's amazing that all of these starters have been so brutal day in and day out. Hope that changes soon so that the Sox don't have to continually dig themselves out.

Who had Marcus Walden with half of the Sox wins in the first 13 games. Even better - the other two wins are Barnes and Johnson. Sum total of wins by Sale, Price, Eovaldi, Porcello and ERod - ZERO What a thoroughly bizarre start to this season!

I mean, you HAVE to hold him here. Why is Walden in this game knowing this?!!! I like Walden, but this isn't the inning for him. OK, so last year during the playoffs when things were heading south I would reboot my computer and things would turn around for a period. I was strange to the max. I hadn't done that this year, no sense in burning out the baseball gods but when Walden loaded the bases with a walk, I decided to undust the magic. The rest is history.

Who had Marcus Walden with half of the Sox wins in the first 13 games. The same people that had Hector Velazquez as our best starter (by a lot)? FWIW, Joe Kelly, despite his putrid start, could probably be in our rotation at this point What was the original question? Oh yeah. Nobody had that.
