Cool to see Suero come up. We thought he might make the Drive out of camp. Ian talked about him on the podcast.

Shawaryn with another strong start.
6 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, and 7 Ks.
The numbers from last start don’t look as strong, but he trailed off at the end (left with two runners on and both were allowed to score). Still had a very strong start other than that. Good to see him start strong so we can have some SP depth in the high minors coming. Still think he’s the next Brian johnson.

I understand there are questions about his patience, but until he gets really challenged they're irrelevant. His contact rate is absurd. It barely matters if his isolated discipline is only .024 given that he's hitting .500. Did he even notice that last season ended and a new one began??

He's my favorite prospect, reminiscent of when they drafted Ellsbury except faster and with a better arm. He's facing pitching that he rarely saw at Long Beach State. With his speed, they sure as hell don't want to walk him. It will be interesting to see what happens when he rises to levels where pitchers have more pinpoint command.
