Nothing makes a holiday Monday better than a hundred mile roundtrip drive for nothing! But I'm glad they postponed--the field was pretty wet all weekend and I wasn't sure how it would take the overnight and afternoon rain. Not to mention that the wind is getting pretty crazy.

Chatham putting up solid season start numbers: .300/.371/.500/.871 Which, entering tonight, were .269/.333/.423, fwiw. 2/4 2 2B will do that for you when you've only played 8 games because of losing 4 consecutive days to snow. That said, 6 2B in 8 games will play. Would like to see that start turning into HR power when it starts getting warmer (and his team doesn't lose five days in a row to snow), but this is indeed a good start.

It was the doubles that caught my attention. He also only has 5 K's on the season vs 3 BB.

Chatham was one guy that I enjoyed watching this Spring. He gave me the feeling that he was relaxed and in control of the at bat....that good things were about to happen. Also in a departure from the Red Sox norm, he is not from the land of Lilliputia....
