Aw, I guess Sandy left his favorite bat with all the hits in Pawtucket. You mean all 3 hits.

If they dont have a serious team meeting and a roster shakeup by the front office..... this team is doomed Sad part is that no one is doing much on the farm as well..... We need a David Ortiz type to have a player only meeting in get in peoples ass!! People on this site HATE the word "gutless" and I do get that.... but what else do you call it? I believe the phrase the team used was “making sure they’re ready for October.”

I root for Sandy to get a hit in the same way I root for the pitchers to get a hit in the NL games. It's kind of a rare occurance.

We don’t even have any guys on expiring deals that could help us reset like the Yanks did a few years ago. Heck we couldn’t give away bloated contracts to get under the tax.

Devers has looked good in the field tonight.

So - let's have a look
Mookie - .215 with an OBP of .325 Pearce - .105 Moreland - .241 (and he is the season offensive highlight) Nunez - .171 Devers - .246 Leon - .000 (I know, small sample size) JBJ - .160 Vazquez - .195 Pedey - .105 Brockstar - .063
Should we do the pitchers?
Porcello - 0-3 11.12 Eovaldi - 0-0 8.40 Sale - about to be 0-4 8.50 ERod - 1-2 7.98
DFA Swihart and adding Leon is not going to fix this. Not sure what the answer is.

So who are the top prospects the Sox can target in next years draft?

Mookie still gives you haul, even if he is off to his worst start ever. Plus you have Porcello, Moreland, Pearce, JBJ, and Holt to deal.

Sandy whif as expected. Just wasted and give away At bats. You have that already with Nunez and JBJ on a daily basis.

Baltimore, Toronto and now New York throw AAA at best line ups at our pitchers and we get pounded. There is certainly trouble in paradise...I suspect issues are running deeper than what it appears.
This year 6-12. Last year we were at one point 26-12. That is a huge swing in one year.

Remember when I was mad for not spending on the bullpen? I take it back... he was smart wouldn’t have helped

I don't know..I guess Cora forgot how to manage all of a sudden.

Just got home from my meeting. Glad I missed this one.
Cora has been touted as the ultimate players manager. I guess it is time to prove that though what just happened to Swihart might not help his cause. This is a dispirited, lifeless, team right now.

If the Sox keep this up the next 5 games, they'll be easily in the single digit odds when it comes to winning the division.

I don't know..I guess Cora forgot how to manage all of a sudden. Yup. If Mookie had been left as leadoff, he'd be hitting .346.

Here's how I look to it: Chris Sale is on the right track to be back to who he is. With Price and Eduardo's, the pitching staff is going to turn around pretty soon. JBJ is using the opposite field again, that's a good sign. We'll be fine, there's too much talent and work ethicin this group to falter. I'm not worried, just stay healthy and we're good.

On a related note, when you are 100% certain the stock market is going to crash, it's time to go long.
