Devers error aside, ERod's velocity and control had diminished to start this inning...I'm surprised the leash wasn't shorter The Sox have a bad bullpen, Cora is stuck in a no win situation here.

Just a really rough team to watch this year, no urgency. Exact opposite of last year finding ways to lose instead of win

I don't see him improving enough to be average at 3B.

There hasn't been many high leverage innings so far, because the Sox have been blown out in half of their games. The scary part is the Sox have been this bad, while not exposing much of it's biggest weakness yet.

Workman feels like such an inconsistent guy to go to because you never know if he'll have 92mph or 86mph on his fastball from game to game

I’m so glad they didn’t trade Mookie. I dont care if he goes 25 for 25 in the next 6 games and has 10 homeruns..... I will always stand by my stance of offer him our "best contract now" and if he declines.... trade him

maybe Devers could use a day of rest tomorrow and let Chavis get one start since he's probably going back to Pawtucket in a few days anyway

The Sox might go to Barnes here for 2 innings, but maybe not to preserve him for the rest of the series.

I will always stand by my stance of offer him our "best contract now" and if he declines.... trade him That’s not a terrible idea on its face if you could get decent value for him. I doubt you could get something close to what his value is Which is why I think trading the second best player in the league is a very bad idea. Only a GM who could actually propose or reject a real world package for him really can “say” what his value is. Assessing trade value is incredibly subjective.
