The Sox might go to Barnes here for 2 innings, but maybe not to preserve him for the rest of the series. Be Cora for a second. What should they do?

The Sox might go to Barnes here for 2 innings, but maybe not to preserve him for the rest of the series. Be Cora for a second. What should they do? You need to win this game. You need to win as many as you can against the Rays now down in the hole. It's a tough call. No easy or right call. This team needs better quality depth back here. It's coming down in the farm system, but it's going to be a while. Months away from that.

I’d give it to Braiser. Oops, they just announced that too.

Brasier throwing strikes. Exactly what you need up by 2.

I dont care if he goes 25 for 25 in the next 6 games and has 10 homeruns..... I will always stand by my stance of offer him our "best contract now" and if he declines.... trade him That’s not a terrible idea on its face if you could get decent value for him. I doubt you could get something close to what his value is Which is why I think trading the second best player in the league is a very bad idea. Only a GM who could actually propose or reject a real world package for him really can “say” what his value is. Assessing trade value is incredibly subjective. Good points.

So, we have ERod and Eovaldi and Price getting into more of an effective groove. Porcello's turn - then Sale.
If tonight's game was a peek at the offense waking up, it is time to start clawing back into this thing.

So much complaining and then a Red Sox win. Being a Boston fan in a single sentence right there. For the 7 year period, 1968-1974, the Sox won 84 to 89 games each year. Could the contemporary fans handle something like that?
