Sox prospects favorite writer (I think?) has announced the coming of his book and I think all of us 'spects followers need to get a copy considering the subject Fantastic, the perfect writer to not only chronicle the historic 2018 season, but analyze it as well, answer the whys and hows and not just the what happened? I hope somebody steps forward and writes a good book about the 2013 Red Sox, given the backdrop of everything that transpired in the city that year and the Sox place (of course, led by David Ortiz) in the city that year. There's been a gazillion books on the 2004 Red Sox and understandably so, but very little on the 3 championships since. I think Maureen Mullen did a book that was a mini-diary of the 2007 season, in which Johnny Pesky added his thoughts and stories. And Tony Massarotti covered the season, briefly, along with other seasons spanning the 1990s through 2007 in one of his books as well. But I don't recall anything else for that year or anything else for 2013 and 2018. Can't wait to read this book!

My browser at work won't let me copy and paste a tweet, but I just saw the cover photo on the book is the same photo I have as my avatar. Validation from Speier himself on my picture choice! Will definitely buy it the day it goes on sale.
edit. I can't see tweets either, so apologies if Alex's tweet is shown in a post above.

My browser at work won't let me copy and paste a tweet, but I just saw the cover photo on the book is the same photo I have as my avatar. Different frames, but very close. Yours is the one Billie Weiss published that night; not sure if the book cover is Billie's, or a Jim Davis shot.

Amazon tells me my copy should be delivered by tonight. Good timing as I’m about to finish, “The Only Rule Is It Has To Work” by Ben Lindbergh and Sam Miller. A very good read.
If I get a few minutes later today might start a baseball book thread. Seems like that’s either way overdue or I’ve completely missed it for years.

I was at that game (the pic of him in AAA). Look at how small Mookie was then.
