Bonaci looks like a no-brainer for inclusion on the prospect list.

Chad De Le Guerra hit a grand slam, and has really been playing great recently. Going in the other direction, Ockimey is 6 for his last 53.

Wright with 3 innings of no run ball. Hope he is healthy. Maybe reinforcements are on the way for the bullpen.

Young guys can use a much better role model. For me, I hope the Sox trade him, he's going to be real difficult to root for, he's a lowlife. This tweet covers half the reasons why... Chris Cotillo Verified account @chriscotillo Rick Porcello called for harsher penalties for PED users in 2016. That stance has not softened because a teammate tested positive. "Does the team deserve an explanation from Steven Wright?" "Yes." "Have you gotten that explanation yet?" "No."

He’s an older guy coming back from a devastating injury trying to continue a career it took a long time for him to get going. I honestly feel for him in that regard This isn’t what makes him a lowlife imo. It’s mostly the trying to intimidate a woman thing that does that imo

Houck cruising through 5.
Duran with the only Dogs hit but was picked off again. Most of his caught stealings are pick offs. Maybe he should watch some Mookie video.

There are several players on banned substances at any given time. He didn't do that.

I could be wrong but the stuff they tend to allow are things like adderall and other similar drugs that come with a prescription. I don’t think what Wright did was above board but I don’t care all that much and I’ll go as far as to say I understand why he did it. It’s basically what Pettitte did, except Pettitte publicly owned it. Definitely a worthwhile risk for Wright- the worst case scenario happened and it wasn’t all that detrimental to him. His career moves on and and he got to heal better than he perhaps would have otherwise

And the run came when they brought him back out for the 7th. Gave up a couple singles (one on a bunt) and a HBP.
Noticed in the Louisville box that even after his 0-for-4, Nick Longhi is at .309/.364/.545.

I don't remember why but after a late start Shugart has put up some very solid numbers. Only 4BB in 22 innings vs 20Ks.
EDIT: Suspension, tsk,tsk

Has anyone seen Logan Browning pitch this season? His stats are impressive, more impressive than one would expect from reading the scouting report.

#30 just doesn’t seem right after the last two drafts and int’l signings, and with so many graduations from other teams.

The Red Sox top prospect graduated too, though.
And while some guys at the top (Duran, Casas, Dalbec, Houck) have stepped forward a bit, it hasn't really been a great year depth-wise. That next couple tiers down with folks like Chatham, Shawaryn, Scherff, Feltman, Lakins hasn't really moved the needle. I don't know enough about the other systems to say the Red Sox have the worst, but it's still a work in progress.

Even stepping forward, keep in mind they can just be going from by far the worst to only barely the worst. As mentioned, the top prospect graduated and there's still no blue chip prospects, which in the grand scheme of things is what matters. They have guys that may be on the way there, but they're not there yet.

Ugh makes my blood boil. Our farm system is way behind some of those other contending teams who have 6-7 ranked well within the top 100. The rays are the lowest payroll in baseball yet their farm system is incredible.

The league is designed for good teams to go bad after a while. So what do you expect?
