Huuuuge range shown by Devers on that pop foul. He was playing way over toward second in that shift.

Wait....Polanco had a PED suspension. Give the start to Xander for the ASG. Every single Twins player has an ISO of .100 or higher more than last year. It makes little sense.

idk why Cora doesn't try to match up Chavis a little more. Berrios was quite obviously going to be a bad matchup for him

Target’s days are not numbered. They do huge business. And Wal-Mart still does more business than Amazon, for all the focus on the latter.
But... Go Sox!
Actually, in all seriousness, I appreciate enormously that Fenway is just Fenway. I don’t even know what to call places anymore. Safeco is not Safeco etc etc

I don't know why more guys don't lift their hands over their heads in the windup. It adds to the deception. I did it when I was a kid in the 70's. I thought it was a normal thing

I thought it was a normal thing When my sons were playing baseball, the better pitching coaches they had were almost always trying to limit movement only to the very most necessary parts. They wanted “quiet” hands.

Deception is a big part of pitching, but I will let the guys who teach and probably know better than i be the experts

old fashioned pitchers duel. Efficient Porcello so far - averaging 10 pitches per inning.

56 pitches through 5 with 7 Ks. Porcello likes pitching against the Twins.

Chavis can play a very decent first base from my vantage point.

I think it is all meant to be energy efficient (guys like Tiant burned a lot of calories with their motions!), but I agree that deception is lost. I wonder if a guy like Price could get slightly more velocity by pitching from a full windup. But the other thing is repeatability. Especially with kids, extra motions can throw things off (I had a high kick that often caused my legs and arm to get out of sync... opening too early, dragging arm through).

Curious, I thought Targets went out of business long ago. Stock is near an all-time high. A consistent 4% profit margin on a consistent $75 billion of sales.

Baseball is such a weird game - take two blazing hot offenses, add two effective, efficient pitchers...you get 1-0 in the 7th.
