Well once he leaves the WBC he'll probably never bunt again in his life so... It is so incredibly stupid to automatically call for a bunt whenever there are runners on first and second and no outs. Statistically it is a fact that you are expected to score more runs with men on first and second and zero outs than you are with men on second and third and one out. EDIT: ANOTHER stupid WBC bunt. this time Japan bunted with its number 5 hitter with runners at first and second and on outs. Of course the number five hitter failed, and the above scoring expectancy does not even take the chances of failure into account.
