Aaaaaaaaaand the deal is now reportedly falling apart. What a disaster. Pennsylvania seems to have taken an excessively conservative position in denying the Blue Jays’ request. Would the risk to their citizens really have been that much higher than it will be with just the Pirates (and the teams visiting the Pirates) playing there?

Well, it'd be 2x as many games and 2x as many teams coming into the city (keep in mind the Pirates are in the Central). Not sure how far that swings the dial or not.

I don't know who Hazel Mae is (broadcaster for someone) but this makes sense. Hazel Mae @thehazelmae Can confirm the Blue Jays have been told they will be calling PNC Park “home” this season per MLB source. @longleysunsport was first to suggest Pittsburgh as option. You don't remember Hazel Mae? She worked for NESN doing the job that Austin Guerin is doing now. She was before Jenny Dell (Will Middelbrook's wife) and Tina Cervasio. I think she worked for the Sox for about 10 years - I'm pretty sure she was there working for NESN when the Sox won the Series in 04. Hazel Mae now does the same thing for Toronto. Hazel was my all-time favorite eye candy that NESN would use. I am friends with Jenny Dell, and she used to party a ton with the players. She and her GFs would go out with Middlebrooks, Napoli, and others frequently.

I know the players want to play in an MLB stadium, but is playing in Buffalo really that much worse than Hiram Bithorn Stadium where the Expos played 22 games in 2002. Nothing against the stadium, but it was not an MLB park. Did the Expos really upgrade it that much before using it?

TORONTO -- The displaced Toronto Blue Jays will play in Buffalo this year amid the pandemic, the team announced Friday. The Blue Jays will play at Sahlen Field, home of the team's Triple-A affiliate Buffalo Bisons. www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29525547/mlb-players-union-oks-playoff-expansion-2020-sources-sayBuffalo Blue Jays. Actually has a ring to it. It actually looks pretty normal. I kinda wish the Jays had to play somewhere bizarre for a year like the old Memorial Coliseum in LA.
