Ryan Weber looks like Maddox. Pearson was rudely introduced to a potent lineup. Not sure of the new rules, but they only recorded two outs..

Bizarro World. There is no body in the stands, but they have background noise that sounds very similiar to the real thing. Ha.

Since when do the Sox get only 2 outs in an inning?

First inning.Benintendi strikes out, Jd walks, Devers singles to right,Bogaerts singles to center, Mitch blasts a homer and Vaz k's....Sounds like 2 outs to me. is their some new special rule I don't know about?

love watching guys really pitch with location and keeping hitters off balance. Reminds me of the old days.

Part of the agreement that innings could be cut short due to pitch count in exhibition games. . . .

They said on the broadcast that they ended the inning because of Pearson's pitch count. Must have been a limit set at 25 or so pitches in an inning for the exhibition.

Brasier doesn't look much better than he did last year. Loud and hard contact. Good thing it doesn't count.
One other thought - the Sox should find a way to keep Arauz on the roster - for 60 games I don't see why they shouldn't. I know they claimed Munoz, but Arauz has some upside - has a chance of amounting to something quite useful.

Oh ok..He did throw a lot of pitches in that inning, so it makes sense for an exhibition game.

Tomase says Raffy is fat and cant field. Can still rake though. He did look chubby in one of the videos I saw. This is not a good sign in an aberrant year. Last year he made a sacrifice and came in fit. It looks as tho he sat back and enjoyed the 'fruits' of his labor. It doesn't portend well for him or maybe team attitude especially with this year likely to be a downer. If I were to make a prediction, I'd say Raffy regresses significantly then rededicates next year. Last night's game feels like a harbinger of what we'll see.... Good offense overridden by poor pitching too many times.

Just now realizing that I am not going to get to watch much MLB.TV this year. The Philippines school year is 3 months ahead of the USA school year so, my kids are in school. However, in their case, in school means Zoom. Classes start at 7:30 AM 6 days a week, same time as USA night games on the East coast. Two zooms and a baseball game simultaneously all smooth is unlikely. Crap.

Find a way. Get a WiFi booster or whatever. Let someone adopt one of the kids.

The buy 1 Take 1 ADs run tomorrow. If that doesn't work I'll likely just watch highlights and if it's a game I really wanted to see, I'll watch the archive.
ADD: For live I can listen to Joe C get excited over everything hit in the air and watch Gameday. Being realistic though, to me, baseball is far less motivational this year no matter how the Sox do.I'm mainly rooting for there to be baseball on September 1st.
