Does anybody know why they are playing a DH today when both teams are off tomorrow? Why not play a 1:00pm game tomorrow and then both fly down to Florida to play Thursday? Is it because the Phillies have 2 DH this weekend w Miami and this gives them a little extra rest?

If they didn't have tomorrow off, they'd have been scheduled to play (worded that way b/c they got rained out last week) 33 games in 30 days without a day off. That's kind of rough even by MiLB standards. |

Yeah, this team is not just undertalented at this point, they are very inconsistent in the field and on the bases.
If I was Eovaldi I’d have a “calf issue” too, for the rest of the year.

every time i'm starting to get on the Perez train (at least as a viable 5th starter), he'll throw a game like today out there. It sucks because his stuff is actually pretty good for a lefty, but you can't be walking 6 batters in less than 4 innings. And it's more like he nibbles way too much than having legitimately poor control like some guys.
