Jonathan Arauz and Eduardo Vaughan will be playing together in Panama.

By the way, the propensity for winter teams to not release their rosters until basically opening day continues to be a source of completely unjustified fury and frustration for me. The Venezuelan league announced TODAY that their season will start on November 27, in nine days.

Nice pull. Season starts tomorrow. Looks like they rebranded as LPBCol, or at least LPB. lpbcol.com/ I wasn't sure if the Red Sox would have anyone there given that there don't appear to be any native Colombians in the system. Venezuela starts play today. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some rosters out of there soon. Given the large number of Venezuelans in the system I would think there'll be a handful of guys there. Enmanuel De Jesus is there at least, and Oddanier Mosqueda's social media seemed to indicate he was as well.

Michael, where did I get that De Jesus was playing for Navegantes in LVBP? I'm not seeing it in tweets or IG, and he's not on the initial roster on the website (whereas Mosqueda and Pereda are)

He played with them in the past. I probably took that post as confirmation when it wasn't? I could've sworn there was something from the team at some point.

The dedication/partial insanity to not only find the rosters for these teams on social media or online, but then to go and cross-check it with the Red Sox minor league rosters, is why I love this site

Nice debut last night for Pereda in VZ, going 3 for 5 with a double. Meneses hit his fourth HR in Mexico, and Raudes took the L in relief over in Nicaragua.

Roldani Baldwin has joined Licey in the DR (where's Norbit/pedroelgrande when you need him?).

Reyes with another great start last night: Would this be enough to put him on someone's Rule 5 radar?

Doubtful, unless the stuff has completely changed. But who knows? Certainly doesn't make it less likely, I guess!

I think we actually may have a better winter league nickname.

I know what you're thinking. And the answer is yes, I do have a nickname for my catcher. It's called The Octopus. But I've also nicknamed my infielders. The left one (formerly of first base) is Cabajoey, and the right one is Dr....

Duran so far in PR: 0-for-11, 6 walks, 5 runs, 3 steals, 3 K's. I'm presuming brutal BIP luck on the 0-fer, especially given that his speed should help him beat out some grounders to the left.

I think the numbers posted online are a day or two behind. Caguas has their box scores on the top of the website. Including today (1-2) he's 1-15 with 7 BB and 4 K.

Wouldn't surprise me - they've been inconsistent about updating their stats page. Glad he got off the schneid.

Reyes with another great start last night: After this start, he was put on the IL with an oblique issue, explaining why he hadn't pitched since.
