I was a big fan of John's kind soul and followed him on Twitter for his love of the Red Sox, the South Atlantic League and classic rock. Such sad news, he will be missed by many. Rest in peace John.

Extremely sad. Not connected to digital world like many are with phones and such, but did chat with him in other ways on occasion few years back. Extremely helpful and kind person who will be missed.
God Bless John.

Oh no. This is such a big loss for the community. He was a great guy. Crazy to think that most of us have been talking/posting with him for nearly a decade. Sad day.

This is a tough read. Lots of family, and it looks as if he may have been burdened with one of the autoimmune diseases.
