Kiermaier has pretty eyes. He's getting quality airtime... Like everything else espn.. What a hatchet job of "coverage" this baseball game is. Nobody is covering this game, just chatting with ding dongs in the dugout/cars/field etc.. Espn is 100% useless.

Well, I can definitely see where those Grady Sizemore comparisons are coming from. Hopefully Duran can continue to hit well, but he does have some serious power. He's no punch and judy hitter. I really think this guy can help the Red Sox at some point in midseason.
He'll never be JBJ in CF - who is? - but I'd much rather see the Red Sox bring him up midseason than see the Sox go over the luxury tax limit to bring back JBJ.
I really think Duran will exceed the #4 OF projections that have been hung on him.
And yeah, Whitlock looks good, too. Liked that pickup as well.

Just look at all of the weather ladies..

Stick to baseball. Thanks. Ms Spear would have destroyed that hanging slider that Wincowski tossed.

Dalbach is suseptable to that low and away slider. The same pitch that used give Bogaerts trouble when he first came up.

It was great not knowing who was up or who was pitching in the last couple of innings because ESPN thinks it is more important to drone on about other things. I understand some of the banter, but could they at least tell us who is batting and who is pitching. It is an exhibition game and not that important in the scheme of things, but it is baseball and we have been starved for just seeing the players play and seeing the young kids coming up.

Nice to watch baseball again and know there will be a season. Who knows what 2022 holds with the CBA coming up.

Ryan Weber and the Home Plate Umpire are heading to Hooters right after this game. It can't happen soon enough for either of them..

Politi seems like kind of a helium guy — his projection is still not huge, though. Is there something that has changed in the last year that hasn’t been registered in that projection yet? It seems like he has more buzz then when he first came on. Did he gain velocity? Something else?

You mean you would rather hear mundane details about some minor leaguers that may never see the bigs INSTEAD of learning about the interior decorating skills of Kiley & Joon? Sacrilidge I say!

Seriously though, I did like how Duran & Politi looked.

I bet he still ends up in the pen tough. Stuff looks nice

Want to throw something else out that has changed in the game.. Yes, I know some of u are shaking ur heads at my always going back, but this is something batters not that long ago griped about..
Pitchers using brightly colored gloves.. Yes, some Boston guys, along with Cardinals have started using Red gloves.. used to be that would never fly, but I just saw in the replay of Cardinals-Miami game, pitcher Luis madero using some funky, bright green glove. How could that not be distracting to a hitter? they used to make pitcher's wear a long sleeve shirt for only tattoos, forget using red, much less this super bright colored glove Madero is using. Never, ever seen a glove this shade. Ugly to start with, but i wonder if it isn't to distract in the 1st place.

This is reminding me that we all have another season of Remy, Eck, and O'Brien talking about donuts and neckties or whatever to look forward to.

I hear you, but there doesn’t seem any reason green should be worse than brown. As long as things are not too light (close to white), too. But teams wear white jerseys with a white ball... an oddly colored glove can’t be that bad. I am old school on some things, but I definitely think letting players show a bit of personality.... shoes, gloves, hair, facial hair (yes, you, Yankees)... it is good. It’s how you make media stars. (I am also biased in favor of pitchers, full disclosure).
