A lot of offense so far in AAA. 5.31 R/G in the East, 5.95 in the west. The AL is at 4.34.
The average K/9 in Salem's league is currently 13. Yikes.

Brock Bell's status changed to Injured 60-Day ... I searched but didn't see anything, what happened there?
Mata and Carasiti also on 60-day.

Marcus Wilson continues to be an OBP machine early on. Anyone think he gets a look if Franchy continues to be sub-optimal? He's not a basher, but we could really use a legit lead-off guy at the MLB level.

He’s done alright for the first couple games but he’s also struck out 7 times in those 14 ABs. Maybe by the end of the season if he keeps it up.

Crawford struck out the side around a single in his first game back. Must be good to get off his chest.
Add: He’s got 5 Ks through 3. Getting a lot of off balanced swings and not a lot of hard contact.

I'm hoping he gets some bench time this month in BOS In Hadlock, it's Johan in left, Jeisson in center, Joey in right. The way to distinguish Johan and Joey: Joey is much bigger, much older, and he's a former I.L. MVP.

Kutter Crawford was a nice start in his first outing coming back from TJ: 4IP 3H 0ER 0BB 6K.
Jeisson Rosario left the game after the 4th inning. Something to monitor.

I do believe he showed improvement in Portland after coming up from his demotion to Salem. Started the year off there miserably though I like him as a prospect. Hopefully he can manage the swing and miss

Denyi Reyes has 4 Ks through 2 perfect innings. He’s thrown a couple of pretty nice curveballs that the batters have had no chance against.
Add: Looked pretty good overall. His secondaries were pretty good today. Ran into a little trouble in the 7th when the Fisher Cats started looking for the off speed stuff and attacking early in the count.

Casas is off to a rough start to his AA career. 8 strikeouts in his first 15 at bats. Had 3 on Thursday and another 3 today. When I was watching today, he wasn't using his crouched, choked up stance with 2 strikes. Don’t know whether or not that is a new thing.

Blalock blows away the first two batters then get a weak tapper to first base. Only velo mention was 95.

No. They could have started him in A+ for a few weeks. When he was in a good hitting rhythm and the weather turned, bring him to Maine.

Don't have numbers for it but Tyreque Reed hit a laser over the fence in right field. It left very quickly.

Tyler Dearden just hit his second home run of the game. Two three run homers in the same inning for the Drive. Duran with his first home run of the year as well. Great night.

Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats has video of Duran's hr, his third hit, a "moon shot" to deep rf--and he's playing right field today.

I don’t think it’s special treatment, I think it’s a pretty normal development path given last years situation. I think making that claim is reading too much into a sample size of a few games
