All per Cot's (https://legacy.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/al-east/boston-red-sox/)
Vazquez: $7M club option for 2022 becomes $8M with 502 plate appearances in 2020 and 2021 (presumably now 344).
Will reach. He's already at 498 for the two seasons.
Martin Perez: Gets $100k each for reaching 130, 140, 150, 160, 170 innings pitched.
Likely to reach some, but not all. Currently at 88 2/3. Projects for another 50-60 IP, so projects for between 138 and 148, so he probably adds between $100k-$300k to his salary.
Hunter Renfroe: $25,000 each for 300, 325, 350, 375 plate appearances. $100,000 each for 400, 425, 450, 475, 500 PA
Likely to reach all. He's already at 328. Projects for another 200-225. So likely adds another $600k.
Marwin Gonzalez: $125,000 each for 375, 400, 425, 450, 475, 500 PA. $200,000 each for 525, 550 PA.
May reach some. He's at 246. Projects for anywhere between 125-200 more. Say he'll get to between 375 and 450, so he'll add anywhere from $0 to $375k?
Matt Andriese: performance bonuses: $125,00 each for 120, 130, 140, 150 innings pitched; 2022 salary increases by $250,000 each with 120, 130, 140, 150 IP in 2021
Won't reach any. These were designed for if he pitched his way into the rotation. He may not even get halfway to 120.
Danny Santana: Unknown incentives up to $1M
Unknown
Hirokazu Sawamura: $50,000 each for 35, 40, 45, 50, 60 pitching appearances.
Has already hit some, will hit most if not all. He's at 38 already. Projects to reach 64, so call it $200-250k.
Franchy Cordero: $5,000 each for 300, 350, 400, 450, 500 plate appearances
Unlikely to reach any. He's at 102 and they don't appear to be in a rush to call him back up. That said, it's $25k at most anyway what kind of incentive clause is this?
So right now it looks like they're going to add $900k-$1.525M in payroll in performance bonuses.
