Enrique Rojas/ESPN @enrique_Rojas1 · 9m Julio Lugo's family told me of the death of the former MLB player, presumably due to a heart attack. Lugo was 45 years old.

Wow, what a shame. 45 is too young to go, especially of a heart attack.

That's horrible. Terrible news. Way, way, way too young.
I know he didn't exactly have the most success in Boston, but he really did play well in the second half, hitting about .280 during that stretch and playing his best defense of the 2007 season and he was a positive contributor to their World Series title. I remember a couple of really good plays he made in Game 3 of the World Series. He made a leaping 6th inning catch to prevent the Rockies from scoring more runs, and he had a nice jump throw to Mike Lowell to get a key force out.
RIP.

Wow, what a shame. 45 is too young to go, especially of a heart attack. Except of course that it isn't. Every day in this country scores of people Lugo's age and younger die of heart attacks and strokes. I know of some myself. Tomorrow is promised to no one.
