Hah! I have one of his books "Epic Tomatoes"...fantastic compendium of heirloom tomatoes..and have grown three of his 200 cited varieties.
Also SteveofBradenton is a real estate expert on Feng shui...has written 3 books and holds webinars.

As someone who grows and cans a lot of tomatoes, this is interesting. Unfortunately though our Romas have not turned out well, especially this year.

Too much rain this last year in the Boston area. What plants survived gave us cracked, bland tomatoes. Looking forward to a better season this year.

I grew three heirloom varieties among those highlighted in "Epic Tomatoes"..Polish, Brandywine and Cherokee Purple. Soxfansince67 was accorded the right to name Cherokee Purple which has as lore that it was cultivated by the Cherokee indians. The plants will grow 6+ feet tall so need to be staked, but the flavor is that which I remembered and enjoyed from 60 years ago.
