Along with Eddinson Paulino, Ugueto made the leap from the DSL to the FCL as 19 year olds. Paulino his .336/.436/.549 and shot up to #24 on the Sox rankings But right behind him in the impressive 19 YO FCL jump was an even-more-modest $10,000 signing bonus kid, Miguel Ugueto, who took playing time from $550 bonus kid Eduardo Vaughan. Vaughan remains at #44 in the rankings. At season's end, Soxprospects remained lukewarm on Ugueto: news.soxprospects.com/2021/09/scout-chatter-eduardo-vaughan-freddy.htmlYet, he appears to have continued to progress, being noted as a spring training "standout" In a week we'll get a first glimpse of him in full season ball. For all he's accomplished before age 20, seems like a spot in the top 60 is the least we could do to reward him.

I saw him twice last year and both times came away quite impressed. Great body, made some nice plays in the field, and hit the ball hard. He is one player I'm looking forward to seeing if he is a solid prospect this year or not. Two games is not enough to jump on his band-wagon, but there is some potential there. This year will tell us a lot!!
