I believe there was a time when we had no prospects showing up in these top-100 lists. This would have been before Casas started appearing, before Downs was acquired from the LAD and before Mayer and Yorke were drafted. Five is pretty impressive and I would expect Bello to keep moving up. I had hope for Bryan Mata popping onto these lists before he got hurt.

The 2018-19 offseason, nobody was on the BA list (Chavis was on the MLB list). The 2017-18 offseason Groome and Chavis were on both, but in the back quarter. But that's it. Casas popped and Downs was acquired the for the 19-20 lists.

MLB.com is doing a small scale re-ranking that will come out Monday. They said mostly guys who need to move up or down by say 15 spots plus a handful of guys coming off the list due to not being eligible anymore(5 by my count with maybe 2 more depending on their service time). So do we think Bello makes the leap on to the list? If so, where do you guys think he'll land? I'm thinking around the mid 80s.

Is it too greedy to hope that Brandon Walter pops onto the lower part of the list? He's older than Bello and pitching one level lower, but 49 K's/3 BB is pretty disgusting. His WHIP is in the same ballpark at Bello's.
I'd like to see both these guys and Casas held out of The Show until OD 2023. At least one of them, and maybe more than one, should perform well enough to get us an extra pick in the '24 draft.

He only moved down one spot. They actually included this picture in the article explaining the new rankings which is extremely helpful.

Reguillo signed for $10k. Maybe another under the radar for the Sox.

I know it's not precisely on-topic, but I remember around this time last season looking up Eury Perez because he was one of the only guys younger than Nick Yorke in low A playing at all well. Now he's 19 and almost too good for AA. The two season streak he's been on as a pitching prospect has been legitimately insane. He's on the Mookie Betts / video game promotion path that just ruins you for years of evaluation to come.

He didn't just debut in the top 100, but in the top 50, at #49.

He didn't just debut in the top 100, but in the top 50, at #49. Well deserved and awesome. Another note is FanGraphs does not have Rafaela listed??? Sox system is building and building fast

Sox system is building and building fast I'm super excited about the system right now. Maybe most of all about the mid-tier prospects at every level. There's not enough room for promotions all over the place. Seems to be very few org guys left. Part of that is the reduction in teams, but still. Chances are that some of these mid-tier prospects end up outperforming expectations and become very good MLB players simply because of how many there are.

Sox system is building and building fast It was a pretty glaring omission in what felt like a pretty poorly done list, imo. But this stuff is hard. I can't imagine trying to go that deep on all 30 teams. There's no way to do it without missing guys. Hell, going 60 deep on one team is hard enough.
