11 Ks through four innings for Jose Ramirez. After Cruz’s 4 Ks over two innings, the Red Sox have gotten strike outs for 15 of their 18 outs so far.

Eduardo Vaughan got demoted to the FCL and has only played on the 9th, 13th, 18th and 20th. I'm guessing he drops out of the top 60 next update.

Not only has Garcia been out but Enmanuel Martinez, the guy they just signed, had started every game, so Renny Flores is apparently banged up too. Eduardo Vaughan got demoted to the FCL and has only played on the 9th, 13th, 18th and 20th. I'm guessing he drops out of the top 60 next update. Yeah probably, but the not playing is probably (a) due to how crowded the outfield is, and (b) because they're working with him on the side. |

I haven't even paid attention but it's apparently the last day of the first half. Salem is tied with Carolina, .5 game up on Lynchburg, and 1 game up on Fredericksburg for the division. Lynchburg has 2 today with Delmarva, Carolina is at Down East, and Salem hosts Fredericksburg.
On tiebreakers, Salem holds the tiebreaker over Carolina, loses it to Lynchburg, and loses it to FXBG (based on a tie being dependent on FXBG winning tonight). Crazy - they don't appear to play Carolina, a team IN THEIR DIVISION, this year, so the tiebreaker is last 20 games record. Haven't done the math on 3-way or 4-way ties.

I think it has more to do with the fact that no one saw the power surge coming. Yeah talking more in a hypothetical - if lists were to be made now - sense. Given where we have him ranked here it doesn't seem he will even crack mid-season top 100s (although I could be wrong there), but the only flaw I can see seems to be the low walk rate. It's totally possible I'm missing something else, just wondering about that. |
