This needed its own thread. www.mlb.com/news/baseball-hall-of-fame-induction-2022-faqThe Induction Ceremony will be televised on MLB Network, beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. A live simulcast of the ceremony will be carried on MLB.com, and on Grupo Corripio in the Dominican Republic. Unfortunately, it's expected to last 3 hours so there's no telling when the good parts will be happening.

Threat of weather, probably a thunderstorm, is making them introduce earlier HOFers quicker than usual.

The speech, etc. was great but that plaque doesn't look like him.

Every time I get the chance to post this I'll shamelessly do it. Stuff of legends!

I went in person and while it's cool to say I was there, man that was not worth it. Wound up sitting in the 90° sun for about 5 hours all to watch on the jumbotron anyways. The things we do for this sport

The things we do for this sport Awesome that you made it! My wife asked if I wanted to go, and I was worried it might end up about how you described it. Still a smidge jealous. Was there much going on in the area before/after?

The best advice for someone going to induction weekend is to plan on spending the whole day there on Sat. and make sure you catch the parade from Doubleday Field to the HOF at the end of the day. Then get out of town. You catch the induction live on TV from the comfort of your home or hotel room. That was my plan for this weekend before I got stuck having to work. One nit about the plaque: I think of Papi with that huge smile on his face. The plaque doesn't really capture that smile.

I love it there when nothing is going on and taking all day in the HOF.
