I am going to the Scottsdale Scorpions game this afternoon (3;00 p.m. local time). I hope that a reasonable number of Red Sox prospects will play (always a crap shoot). Kavadas and Scott in the lineup today

Watched the 9-7 Scottsdale victory in 6 and a half innings. Six teams played a triple-header at Phoenix Municipal Stadium (where Arizona State University plays its home games now).
Perry pitched one inning. Gave up one walk and struck out 2. His fastball hit 94. He was aggressive. Pitched with poise and confidence. Good movement on his pitches.
Scott hit another home run today. Very solidly struck. There are no cheap home runs in that stadium, but he did have a 12 mph wind blowing out. Six home runs hit today in the shortened game. Scott batted before Kavadas. Scott ended 3 innings with 2 strikeouts and a weak fly ball. Scott saw quite a few pitches but there were many called strikes.
Kavadas smoked a double to right field and hit a fly ball single to left. He also reached base on a walk. He showed good reactions and agility catching a very hard hit line drive while playing first base. I do not think Niko is limited to being a DH. I would be interested what people think about his defense who have seen him play more than one game. His baserunnng was a pleasant surprise. He has decent speed for a big guy (not a base clogger), and he really hustles.
Several Twins propsects were very impressive, especially Eduardo Julian who was 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBIs.

Confidence was the best thing Yorke could get from the AFL. Good to see so far.

Appears Nick Yorke hasn't played in the AFL since 10/25. He's out of the lineup again today.
