Wait Dunning hasn’t retired a RHB yet, has he?

Best SS in franchise history. Obsessively adjusting my batting gloves as I think of how I respond to this post it isn't an easy call, as you can tell from my ID. LOL.

Seems to me Winck is trying to develop his change as a swing and miss pitch. He’s thrown a couple today that look more like splitters

I started watching the Sox in 1967 (duh - hence my name).
So - I've seen
Petrocelli Aparicio (end of his career) Guerrero Burleson Hoffman Guiterrez Quinones Owen Reed Rivera Valentin Nomar Lansing Reese Renteria Gonzalez Cabrera Lugo Green Scutaro Aviles Drew Xander
Tops for me - Rico P, Rooster Burleson, Nomar - but #1 - Xander.
There were some real stinkers in there!

what I like about Winky and Cutter is they are serious on the mound. There will be some role for them going forward.

I feel old enough already! Making that list was amazing - I had to think hard to remember some of those names. Some were easy - Lugo stood out for being particularly horrible most of the time.

I am as impressed with Wong's two walks as his home run - came from down in the count twice, worked walks. Great discipline.

(which depended on some bananas defensive metrics that are probably overstated)

Need more runs - we are letting this mediocre pitcher off the hook - constant traffic, not enough runs.

Scutaro was maybe the most forgettably solid player the Sox have ever had

Scutaro was maybe the most forgettably solid player the Sox have ever had We signed him for 2/11 coming off 4.3 and 3 WAR seasons Baseball used to be a lot easier

This is where Winck needs to mature - ump squeezed him, and he's not really thrown a strike since - put two on. Gotta get more mentally tough.

They should have re-signed him and I’m not sure I’ll ever understand why they saw the need for Renteria after Cabrera was so good in his audition.
