The position players were just about as clear cut as I’ve ever seen. I can’t really think of any of the positions where I’d question a choice and it’s honestly not even that close.

Agree, but Matthew Lugo is a hard-luck non-All Star. He had a nice year but he plays the same position as our No. 1 prospect. It's mildly discouraging that only one of our five P All-Stars (Mata) is among the top 14 prospects in the organization. Luis Persales is No. 15 and he's only 19 years old and pitched in a rook league and low A. I had never heard of Phillip Sikes before I clicked on this thread!

Can you imagine just a few of these kids making the big club in a couple of seasons. I guess the next challenge is to have another group behind them.

Good point. And the system might also provide some BP help next year. Not high-leverage BP help, but low-cost guys worthy of roster spots, which is important. Murphy, Walter and Ward could all see time in The Show next year.

Yeah based on the nature of the awards Mata and Ward weren't really going to have any shot either. I wouldn't worry about it. The awards were actually pretty full of prospect chalk this year.
