The Sea Dogs have proven to have three pitchers who are dominating the league right now and are 12-5, where as Worcester who started 5-0 have gone 3-14 since. (Save your minor record does not matter) I wonder if the MLB Red Sox had not needed so many depth pitchers and middle infielders, how much better they would be?
If Rodriguez, Martin, Mills, were healthy and Bello, Whitlock, and Paxton from the beginning of the year, how much better would Worcester and Boston be…I guess we can speculate, but we will never know.
The silver lining is that Crawford got enough time so far for us to see how good he is…

Luis De La Rosa actually getting the start tonight. Turns out that Paez to the IL was the countermove for Brand, with some shoulder stiffness.

Nick Yorke now has the third highest wOBA in the Eastern League among players 23 and younger. Jasson Dominguez is the only qualified batter who is younger than Yorke and is batting .116.

Little bit crappy camera work there but that seemed like an absolute hose. Also glad to see a walk. I've been semi hesitant to jump on board the Rafaela train but some more nights like that stat line I'll be hopping on. |

If he’s hitting 80 mph ground balls thru the hole, he still needs more time or potentially be put up for trade bait before his value tanks. |

If he’s hitting 80 mph ground balls thru the hole, he still needs more time or potentially be put up for trade bait before his value tanks. He’s definitely not going to be a crazy plus EV guy. He’s going to have to have a favorable batted ball mix and LA, especially given his K/BB ratio woes. |

Not at you specifically, but we’ve really got to find some common ground between “this free swinger has a horrific approach at the plate and has huge bust risk” and “this toolsy 22-year-old is hitting .300 in AA with elite up-the-middle defense”.
Of course, both takes are much more reasonable than the lazy Mookie Betts 2.0 crap.
